Geomechanical Pollution
Geomechanical Pollution Calculator (GMP) is a software technology that attempts to help estimating stress changes in the
Earth’s crust. GMP determines an hazard index for major earthquakes that can be triggered in the vicinity of large-scale geoengineering
operation sites, such as CO2-injections in deep rock formations, geothermal power generation, water irrigations,
reservoir impoundments, oil/gas production (EOR) and mining. Based on such the earthquake hazard index model Klose GeoHazards develops concepts for
sustainability and safety management strategies for decision makes.
